Project Overview: Whittlesford Parkway DDA Ramp Lighting System Installation

TNS was responsible for the design and construction of a new lighting system at Whittlesford Parkway Train Station, following the installation of a new DDA-compliant platform ramp by Total Property Support Services. Our works included full compliance with Greater Anglia’s M&E Specification REV03, ensuring the system provided a minimum of 20 lux for standard lighting and 2 lux for emergency lighting.

The lighting system installed was IK10 rated, offering enhanced durability and protection. The project also involved the removal of redundant DOO (Driver-Only Operation) cabling and the submission of RITA form applications to meet all regulatory requirements. TNS provided CRE (Contractor’s Responsible Engineer) oversight throughout the project to ensure design and installation adhered to the required standards.
