Project Overview:
TNS were appointed to deliver electrical services for the new cycle shelter at Greater Anglia’s Bury St Edmunds Train Station. This scheme formed part of Greater Anglia’s commitment to improving passenger facilities while respecting the heritage sensitivities of the site.
Scope of Works:
- Installation of 2no. Bosch IP CCTV cameras to provide enhanced security
- New distribution equipment and submains to serve the shelter
- Provision of small power supplies for data and security equipment
- Installation of emergency lighting to ensure compliance and safe access
- Issue of NICEIC Electrical Installation Certificate, Emergency Lighting Certificate, and post-lux level survey
Project Highlights:
- Delivered within a heritage railway environment, requiring careful coordination and sympathetic installation methods
- Enhanced security for cycle storage facilities while maintaining compliance with heritage restrictions
- All works completed in an operational station with no disruption to passengers or station operations
