Project Overview:
TNS were appointed to deliver enabling works for the installation of new JC Decaux advertising signage across a number of key Greater Anglia stations, including Stansted Airport, Cambridge, Bishop’s Stortford, Chelmsford, Colchester, Shenfield and Tottenham Hale. The project formed part of a wider initiative to expand Greater Anglia’s advertising revenue stream through modernised digital and static signage.
Scope of Works:
- Full route surveys and cable path planning to determine optimal installation routes
- Installation of new electrical supplies to serve over 20 JC Decaux signs across multiple locations
- Associated containment (cable tray, basket, conduit, and trunking) installed to provide secure and compliant routes
- All terminations, testing, and certification undertaken in line with BS 7671 and NICEIC requirements
- Works coordinated with JC Decaux and GA to align with sign installation programmes

- All works undertaken in operational stations, carefully scheduled to minimise disruption to passengers and station operations
- Enabling infrastructure installed to support long-term advertising capability and revenue growth
- Complexities included routing through high-footfall areas, station booking halls, and platforms, requiring close coordination with GA operational teams
