Hatfield Peverel Railway Station – Access Route Lighting Upgrade

Hatfield Peverel Railway Station – Access Route Lighting Upgrade

TNS Contractors was appointed by Greater Anglia to undertake the in-house design and installation of a new external lighting scheme serving the station’s access staircase and pedestrian ramp.

Working in collaboration with Dexeco and TPSS, our team developed a fully compliant lighting design in accordance with the Greater Anglia M&E Specification, delivering both normal and emergency lighting to improve visibility, accessibility and passenger safety. The installation included new high-efficiency LED lighting columns and bollards, together with all associated electrical infrastructure.

Our scope encompassed the installation of new underground ductwork, cable containment, access chambers, power distribution and cabling, with civil engineering works delivered alongside TPSS to provide the supporting infrastructure.

The new LED lighting solution has transformed the station approach, creating a safer, brighter and more welcoming environment for passengers while significantly reducing energy consumption and future maintenance requirements. By combining thoughtful in-house design with high-quality installation, the project delivers a long-term, sustainable lighting solution that enhances the passenger experience and supports Greater Anglia’s ongoing commitment to modernising its station infrastructure.
