Electrical Installation
A completely new electrical installation within the station building and car park area, as well as involvement on the platform, footbridge and waiting areas. This installation was designed and installed in conjunction with Great Anglia’s M&E Specification REV 02.
The station building was heavily refurbished by other contractors creating new staff welfare facilities, ticket office, booking hall, waiting room, public toilets and a retail unit. Resulting in an entirely new electrical installation being required. As per GA specification, an extensive containment system was installed as part of this project.
New Abacus raise and lower lighting columns with Dextra LED column heads, were installed as part of the new car park lighting refurbishment. Alongside a GRP feeder pillar containing lighting control and distribution equipment.

- Strip out and disposal of existing services and containment
- Extensive galvanised containment system
- Sub mains and distribution equipment
- GRP feeder pillar / cabinet
- Car park lighting columns and heads
- Small power and lighting (incl. Emergency)
- L2 Addressable fire alarm system
- Mechanical ventilation system
- 110V temporary site supplies and equipment
- Testing, commissioning and certification
